About the movement

THE TALENT FINE ARTS MOVEMENT

Make art, not war!

Bakelit Multi Art Center announces annually its open call The Talent for self-taught visual artists since 2007. The applications are evaluated by a professional jury, the participants receive brief and constructive feedback, and the selected works are exhibited. The movement offers the participants an opportunity to introduce themselves on the stage of visual arts. Being part of the movement might be a beautiful and useful occasion for them to learn, get new motivations, and develop their artistic horizon.

The purpose and mission of The Talent open call and exhibition is to offer an opportunity for talented artists who do not have a qualification in fine or applied arts to introduce themselves.  Over the years, we have sought to reveal, represent and share the spiritual value of the word “talentum” through our work, which does not constitute only in talent itself. In our view, art has to represent both quality and value in order to thus displace the recipient from everyday life.

Open call

Originally titled “Without a Diploma” the currently called The Talent open call and exhibition series is a decade-old programme of Bakelit Multi Art Center that offers a dedicated platform for self-taught artists. It offers an opportunity for talented artists who do not have a diploma in fine or applied arts to present themselves. It provides them a place to learn, practice, create, not only in order to influence the audience, but also each other. Over this period of 10 years, more than 5,000 artworks were sent to us, of which 3,000 pictures were exhibited. Please fill out the form below to apply.
